Chicks & Feeds Limited & FCM participated 3rd Nepal Agritech Interational Expo 2019 starting of this year from 25-27 January 2019 at Chitwan Expo Center, Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal.
Nepal is an agriculture depending country where poultry farming is one of the important occupation of Nepalese Farmers. Commercial production of chicken meat in Nepal stands at 118000 tonnes annually, while egg output amounts to 1.50 billion sets annually. The global average chicken meat consumption is 14kg per person, while average per capita egg consumption is 160 units annually. In the South Asia region, Nepal’s per capita chicken consumption is well above India. Nepal’s poultry industry has an annual turnover of Rs 40 billion, producing chicken meat worth Rs 24 billion, eggs worth Rs 12 billion and chicks worth Rs 4 billion. Chickens are produced commercially in 64 districts in the country and 55,871 people are engaged in the business. As a result, the poultry market has been growing rapidly.
